As a leading supplier of electric motors for use in wire feeders in the premium segment, we can look back on a long history and an excellent product portfolio. For some time now, we have been noticing a growing demand for a motor that can also be used in the entry-level segment of welding equipment. Therefore, together with some of our customers, we have developed the new PM42LS and are proud to introduce it to the market this year.
The PM42LS is based on the very popular PM4228, but has been developed to meet the specific requirements of single-phase welding equipment. Like our other motors, the PM42LS offers a fully integrated encoder if required. This allows our customers to develop welding equipment with the same functionality as seen in the premium equipment.
With the development of the PM42LS, Ankarsrum Electric Motors AB is again clearly positioning itself as a technological pioneer, within our industry. By increasing the use of high performance plastics, not only can costs be significantly reduced, but the ecological footprint is also significantly reduced as a result.
Market launch of the PM42LS will take place in the fall of 2022.
We are already producing prototypes for interested customers in order to adapt the functionality to the respective applications at an early stage.
