Last Saturday the local business community in Västervik celebrated at Gränsö Castle outside Västervik. This was the first gathering after the pandemic and about 330 representatives from different local companies in Västervik attended the event. Members of the management team and executive board participated on behalf of AEM.
We are most happy to announce that our CEO Carl Sigfridsson won the prestigious price as CEO of the year in Västervik.
Jury motivation: The winner of this price has long experience from different executive management assignments. He came to Västervik in 2019 to lead a turn around with a company that had been struggling and posted negative results for a long period of time. When the Corona pandemic hit the world, the business filed bankruptcy and was restarted under a new company name. Carl has built a new strong team and implemented a progressive people oriented company culture where values such as customer focus, teamwork, commitment, safety, quality, improvements and humour have been key for a successful business transformation. This year’s winner has managed to establish a profitable and growing business, with clear goals and a vision to become the most sustainable producer of electric motors in the industry.
