AEM BLDC motors – powering drones for commercial applications
Yesterday, the Swedish drone manufacturer Katla Aero AB visited Ankarsrum Electric Motors AB as part of a new joint development project.
Katla Aero AB, is producing versatile high-performance electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) drones for Beyond Visual Land of Sight (BVLOS) applications.
Katla aims to migrate to a Swedish based supply chain for material and components and hence turned to us for developing a locally made BLDC motor with an outer runner configuration, optimized for the Katla range of drones.
